General Terms and Conditions of Use for SE-OP Products

These General Terms and Conditions of Use ("GTCU") aim at defining the terms of provision of the Space Service of the Paris Observatory ("SE-OP") products and at establishing the conditions for access and use of these products by the user.

The GTCU may be modified at any time for any reason without prior notice. Users are responsible for checking the current version of the GTCU each time they use SE-OP products.

Applicable Terms to Data

Data is defined as any number or calculation result provided by the SE-OP, that may be represented in various forms: text, image, or video.

The data produced and made available by the SE-OP is released under the "Open Licence / Licence Ouverte 2.0".

Users may freely use this data, provided they acknowledge the source ("Space Service of the Paris Observatory") and the date of the last information update.

Applicable Terms to Online Services

Online services are defined as any method provided by the SE-OP allowing users access to the data made available by the SE-OP, such as application programming interfaces (APIs), web forms, or data portals.

Access to online services is free and open to all users.

Users agree to use the online services in accordance with their documentation and to adapt to updates and changes, which may occur without prior notice.

In the event of abusive use of one or more online services by a user, the SE-OP reserves the right to limit or block the user's access to the services temporarily or permanently.

Applicable Terms to Software and Calculation Libraries

The use of software and calculation libraries referenced on the SE-OP website is subject to their respective licences.

Applicable Terms to Publications

Publications may be protected by intellectual property rights.

Any reproduction of data and information contained in the SE-OP publications that are subject to intellectual property rights is strictly prohibited without prior authorization from the SE-OP.

Use of logos

SE-OP and its services logos are owned by the SE-OP and are protected under Article L121-2 of the French Intellectual Property Code. Modification or creation of derivatives of SE-OP logos is prohibited. Any use, reproduction, publication, display, transmission, public dissemination, or exploitation of SE-OP logos requires prior written authorization.

Applicable Law

These General Terms and Conditions of Use are governed by French law.
